Biodiv-Wind to Install SafeWind Systems on 31 Wind Turbines in the Hérault Department

We are pleased to announce that Biodiv-Wind will be installing our SafeWind systems on 31 wind turbines in the Hérault department! This major project, covering a large number of turbines, is designed to have a significant positive impact on bird protection and wildlife conservation in the area.

Advanced Bird Detection and Collision Prevention

Our SafeWind system uses advanced AI and video detection technology to continuously monitor bird movements around the turbines. When birds come too close to the wind turbines, the system automatically shuts them down, minimizing the risk of collisions and contributing to collision prevention. This proactive approach helps in bird detection and ensures that birds, including endangered species, are protected from harm.

Complementary Solutions for Enhanced Safety

In addition to the SafeWind systems, Biodiv-Wind also offers radar-based solutions for bird monitoring and bird detection systems. These systems provide an additional layer of protection by using radar technology to detect birds over long distances, even in low-visibility conditions. This dual approach — combining AI-powered video detection and radar technology — maximizes the safety and operational efficiency of wind farms, while also reducing downtime and energy loss.

Supporting Sustainable Energy and Wildlife Protection

The installation of the SafeWind systems in the Hérault department is part of our ongoing commitment to advancing bird technologies that support both renewable energy production and the protection of local wildlife. We aim to create a harmonious balance between clean energy and the environment, ensuring that wind farms can operate efficiently while safeguarding the biodiversity of the region.

A Testament to Innovation and Trust

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners for their continued trust in Biodiv-Wind. We are proud to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while prioritizing the protection of birds and promoting the coexistence of renewable energy projects with natural habitats. With each new installation, we take a step closer to a future where technology and nature thrive together.
