A Promising Start to 2024: Biodiv-Wind Set to Install 10 New Wind Turbines in Normandy with our SafeWind

We are thrilled to announce that 2024 is off to a remarkable start for Biodiv-Wind. This year, we will be installing no fewer than 10 wind turbines in the picturesque region of Normandy!

Normandy: From Rural Charm to Green Energy Powerhouse

Normandy, known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich history, is rapidly evolving into a major player in the green energy sector. With over 400 wind turbines already operational and a total installed capacity approaching 1 GW, the region now ranks as the 9th largest in France in terms of wind energy production. This transformation highlights how sustainable innovation can seamlessly integrate into areas rich in cultural and natural heritage.

These new wind turbines will not only increase renewable energy production but will also showcase how modern bird detection systems and collision prevention technologies can be implemented to protect the local wildlife. By deploying our Bird Sentinel technology and other bird monitoring equipment, we ensure that the turbines operate in harmony with the region’s diverse ecosystems.

Innovative Technologies for Wildlife Protection

As part of this installation, Biodiv-Wind will utilize cutting-edge bird detection and bird monitoring systems. These bird AI solutions play a crucial role in safeguarding bird species around the turbines, reducing the risk of collisions. Additionally, we will be integrating audio bat and bat detection systems to ensure the safety of local bat populations.

Our innovative bird deterrent solutions are designed to create a balance between renewable energy production and the preservation of wildlife. By continuously monitoring bird activity and using real-time data from our bird monitoring equipment, we contribute to the collision prevention efforts that are essential to maintaining biodiversity in the region.

Collaborating for a Sustainable Future

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners, whose collaboration makes this project possible. Together, we are working to build a future where renewable energy sources like wind power can coexist with wildlife protection and environmental sustainability.

With this new project in Normandy, Biodiv-Wind continues its commitment to creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly world, leveraging the latest bird technologies to ensure that wind energy remains a force for good.
