New Biodiv-Wind Project Launches in Marne: SafeWind Systems for Bird Protection and Sustainable Energy
Biodiv-Wind is thrilled to announce an exciting new venture: six new wind turbines in the Marne department of the Grand-Est region will soon be equipped with our SafeWind bird detection system! This project marks a key step in our mission to support collision prevention for local bird populations, advancing bird protection while contributing to renewable energy production.
Balancing Wind Energy and Bird Preservation
SafeWind is a powerful bird monitoring system that uses bird AI to monitor and protect avian species in real time. This system is part of a suite of bird technologies designed to balance wind turbine operation with effective wildlife conservation measures. SafeWind’s bird deterrent capabilities provide additional security for birds by reducing the risks of collision around the turbines. As we expand our projects in Marne, our goal is to minimize impacts on bird biodiversity while supporting clean energy initiatives.
Marne: The Champagne Region Meets Clean Energy
Our work in Marne is particularly significant, as the region is globally known for its Champagne vineyards, which produce around 300 million bottles annually. We think this milestone is worth celebrating with a toast! Working alongside our partners here, we’re supporting sustainable development in an area that deeply values both its agricultural heritage and its commitment to a greener future.
Partnering for a Sustainable Future
We extend our deepest thanks to our partners who continue to place their trust in Biodiv-Wind. Their support allows us to advance wind energy projects that respect and preserve local wildlife, creating new standards for bird monitoring equipment in the wind energy sector. As we equip these six new turbines with SafeWind, we’re reminded of the importance of collaboration in achieving a sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
